Chamber ENSEMBLE: CINEMATIC HYBRID
This palate and format are very comfortable for me. My background as a vocalist and vocal arranger makes me particularly adept at working with pieces that feature signature vocal sounds. I also am particularly comfortable mixing electronics with chamber ensemble textures.
Chamber Ensemble: Classical
I have a particular love of this kind of harmonic language - while it’s centuries old, it’s never out of style. I am constantly diving into old scores to draw inspiration for a contemporary interpretation.
AMBIENT, ORGANIC TEXTURES
This piece exemplifies my skills at textural writing, my comfortability with silence and leaving space for the picture, and my role as a creative leader. The client really trusted me to craft this sound on my own, and I think it pays off nicely. It’s a piece of music that sounds unique, but is totally in the service of the story.
LONGER FORMAT STORYTELLING
I tend to write for a lot of documentaries, and I think I’m particularly well suited to them. My ability to spot a scene, write to picture, and tell an emotional story makes me a strong documentary-style composer.
TEXTURAL ELECTRONIC
Don’t let all the ambient music fool you, I can groove too! This piece represents my ability to weave electronic and textural sounds through a spot, while pinning it down to a strong rhythmic feel.
PARTICULARLY ME
After working in this industry for over 10 years, I’ve gotten very good at writing in other people’s style. But, here’s some music that I think exemplifies what I can do that is uniquely my style.
