Louis Weeks began writing songs when he was 12 years old. Within two years he had formed his first band, August, whose sound grew along with its members through 4 years of gigs and attic practices. In 2007, Louis started his freshman year at Bowdoin College, where he refocused on a solo career. After spending the summer of 2009 in Brooklyn with a new iteration of August named Baba Jaga, Louis has struck out solo for good. In September of 2009, Louis released his first solo EP entitled Broken English: a quiet and intimate, do-it-yourself album. Louis is currently scheduled to tour with Russ Barrnett and the Mission Bells for the Summer of 2010. In anticipation of this tour, Louis has been working on a new EP. With the help of long-time friend and musical cohort, Louis has teamed up with Ben Goldstein to produce an EP of new and previously unreleased material. This EP is still in the post-production phase, stay tuned for the upcoming release date.
